Drafted & Reviewed By Legal Counsel 6-4 AMENDMENT TO BILL NO. 29-0239 Offered By Senator Ronald E. Russell Bill No. 29-0239 is amended as follows: I. In Section 6, subsection (b), paragraph (6)(b)(4), page 25, line 9, by inserting new language at the end of paragraph 4, before the period to read as follows: "; provided, however that the Attorney General may at his discretion reduce this twenty- one (21) day notice requirement if a sex offender requests such a reduction and provides information in support of the request." 2. In Section 9, subsection (16), page 33, line 9, by inserting new language after the word "information" to read as follows: "; provided, however, that the Attorney General may at his discretion reduce this twenty- one (21) day notice requirement if a sex offender requests such a reduction and provides information in support of the request" and by adding paragraph (iii) to read: "(iii) The Attorney General at his discretion may require other information in lieu of the above information upon the request of a sex offender." 3. In Section 9, page 34, by striking subsection 19 and inserting a new subsection 19 to read as follows: EFTA01221123 2 "(19) except when a shorter period for notice is authorized by the Attorney General, within twenty-one (21) days, prior to travelling outside of the United States the sex offender shall provide the following information:" and by inserting paragraph (viii) to read as follows: "(viii) The Attorney General at his discretion may require other information in lieu of the above information upon the request of a sex offender."
