Dr. Hall's conclusion on this issue should thus be excluded to avoid "confusing the issues," as well as causing "undue delay," and "wasting time." Fed. R. Evid. 403; see United States v. Blum, 62 F.3d 63, 68 (2d Cir. 1995) (assessing whether evidence would result in "confusing the issues" under Rule 403 by asking whether it would bear upon, or distract from, "the central issue" of the defendant's "guilt or innocenc"), United States v. Stewart, 433 F.3d 273, 313 (2d Cir. 2006) (upholding preclusion of evidence that would have necessitated a "mini-trial").
