Usually a bank reference, employment, income verification and credit check arc standard. The reason is the law in new york prevents the landlord from evicting the tenant. For example if the tenant chooses to stay on premises for months after the lease, the landlord can not enter the EFTA_R1_00487956 EFTA01994083  premises or force the tenant out, he has to wait for the courts to make a decision.
