This shows that the market has a tremendous appetite for exquisite objects with solid provenance that are fresh to the market and enticingly estimated. With that in mind, I would very much like to continue our discussion on the Epstein marbles, as I am sure these would be much sought after by a wide array of potential buyers ranging from the dedicated collectors to those searching for beautiful and decorative works of art. Sadly, he has no documentation from the 1960s so there isn't proof. However, with the information provided by the Greek and Roman department at the MET, we have enough provenance to be able include the two boys as well as the Herakles in a future sale, as the curator listed them both in an inventory from the early 1990s.
