Rich is getting me the AUSA correspondence and we will compare their ask of Bear (someth ing about $1000 and $100, 000 transactions were of interest to them) How it came up again was his account alerted in Fortent for cash activity which it does for time to time and we went to Jim and he again said PB is comfortable with hi m and that Steve Cutler approved him to stay. I spoke to Phil and given the HT project thought that Steve cutler may feel differently about Epstein, given t he exposure the bank has received on the HT project. I circled back with PB and that was the reason for the RR meeting on Friday. Seems PB was not so thrilled with retaining him, it was all due to Jes. Digging will take a few days, I'l l get back to you when I am done. The guy l i kes cash so the paper trail could be hard. He is alleged to be invol ved i n the human trafficking of young girl s and law enforcement is also all egedly investigating his involvement in this activity. He is also an alleged persona l associate of the CEO of the Investment Bank (Jes Staley) AML Operations went to a PB risk meeting late last week requesting that we exit this relationship. The CEO of PB us (Catherine Keating) and PB General counsel (Anne Verdon) s uggest that William and PB management meet with Jes Staley to review our recent HT initiative with him. The one new concerning thing is t he one articl e about the DOJ investigation is saying they brought under age girls to t he US via a modeling agency M2 that is owned by a guy named Brunel. Turns ou t the banker said today we extended Epstei n a loan i n relation to this modeling agency. It appears to be a legit modeli ng agency. I f girls wer e expolited via their contract or arrangement it would be hard
