Boyce Presidential Professor of Criminal Law at the S.J. Quinncy College of Law at the University of Utah. 9 I graduated from Stanford Law School, where I served as President of the Sionford Law Review. 3. 1 clerked for then-Judge Antonin Scalia when Scalia was on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then for the Chief Justice of the United States, Warren Burger. 4. I then served as an Associate Deputy Attorney General with the U.S. Justice Department and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. 5. I then joined the faculty at the College of Law, where 1 taught full time until I was sworn in as a U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Utah in 2002. 6. In 2007. I resigned my judgeship to return full time to the College of Law, to (among other things) teach, write, and litigate on issues relating to crime victims' rights. 7. 1 am a co-author of the law school casebook.
