Greetings Mr. Epstein,
I spoke with Danny this afternoon regarding your directive for cleaning up the 5 storage bays in the
Engineering shed. Outlined below is his plan, for your review, comments and approval:
Bay 1 (new Engineering storage):
Build in the shelving
Paint the walls and shelves
Brian will create a cement cap for the air vent on the back wall
Bay 2 (new Painting storage):
Complete the shelving
Paint the walls and shelves
Cement cap for the air vent on the back wall
Bay 3 (new Landscaping storage):
Build the shelves
Paint the walls and shelves
Cement cap for the air vent on the back wall
Bay 4 (Old engineering office - probably will become additional engineering storage)
Build a subwall to hide the old electrical - there must still be an access panel because this electrical is still in
use powering the Manager's cottage and Danny will rewire it to also power the Engineering shed - shelving
will be built on the subwall
The existing shelving to the left will be cleaned up and additional shelving added
The Chromix presently stored in this bay will be discarded - it was purchased to complete the main entrance,
before the plan was changed to apply the "Devil Mix" gravel instead
Bay 5 (Old desal - probably will become additional engineering storage)
Danny plans to completely dismantle the old plant
Build shelving
Paint walls and shelves
The floors in all of the bays are currently tiled. In two of the bays the floors were leveled/filled during the wall
repair. Danny had no plans to retile the floors. He also plans to rewire all 5 storage bays.
Danny presently does not have a timeframe for your review and approval for completing what is outlined
above, but will work on it this week.
Currently, Clement and Benny are fabricating the doors. They will start on the framing tomorrow. I asked if
having the doors on the old engineering and desal bays will pose a problem when the interior construction and
EFTA00940136
dismantling begins. They will not because the door hinges will allow for the doors to be removed and replaced
easily so they are out of the way.
Danny believes the water on the floor in the old desal bay is due to a leak, which he will address when the
desal is dismantled. The water at the entrance of the bays not under the shed is due to rain going in, which will
be prevented once the doors are in place and sealed.
Respectfully submitted,
Daphne
