Good afternoon,
IMD
I am currently working on a FOIA regarding Ghislaine Maxwell. After doing a search, I found file numbers 31E-
MM-108062 and 50D-NY-3027571 to be responsive to the request. In the past we have been applying a (b)(7)(a)
to all of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell requests.
Instead of sending a formal Pending Questions EC in sentinel, we just wanted to do a follow up to see if a B7A is
still ok to go out with?
This letter advises "material you requested is located in an investigative file which is exempt from disclosure...to
the extent the production of such law enforcement records or information could reasonably be expected to
interfere with enforcement proceedings." It is an acknowledgment that material responsive to the subject of the
request, Ghislaine Maxwell, is located in a pending file. However this letter is purposefully vague: it doesn't
discuss which field office the investigation is based out of, whether the subject of the FOIA request is a main or a
reference in the investigation, the focus of the investigation etc.
I have attached a copy of the b7a letter for you to take a look at.
Thank you,
