In addition, we wanted to inform Mr. Epstein of the very exciting news that the University of Haifa, after fierce competition from all 7 of Israel's major universities as well as three institutes, recently won the tender to launch the first ever Israel National Center for Mediterranean Sea Research. This groundbreaking project will come with a grant of $20 million in seed money from the government of Israel. We are very proud — and humbled — by this honor, thanks in great part to our Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences, and the recent discoveries of gas in the Mediterranean by our expert team of researchers. Vice President Gayer will be in NY on May 5th, 8th and 9th, and would very much appreciate the opportunity of a brief meeting of introduction with Mr. Epstein.
