remember Jim Leyritz [2] as the longtime New York Yankees [3] catcher who, in 1996, hit a World
Series homer [4]against the Atlanta Braves [5] that would eventually help the Yanks win its first
title in 18 years. In Fort Lauderdale this week, however, Leyritz, 46, is nothing more than just
another accused. He allegedly killed a 30-year-old woman in a 2007 car crash in which he was
found to have twice the legal blood alcohol limit. He is facing 15 years in prison if convicted of
