As founder of The Art of Networking, Dr Marie-Caroline von Weichs an der Glon is currently working as a consultant on topics including networking, relationship building and personal development. Clients consist mostly of CEOs, managing directors, managing or senior partners of companies, politicians and other public figures. Clients have mostly been in Germany, Liechtenstein, the US and the UK. In addition to consulting, Caroline has held speeches upon request on relationship building and networking. Previously, Caroline was CEO of G100, a membership-only organisation, which brings together active Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers from major publicly traded companies in the USA and Europe. The group's mission is to provide forums in which Chairmen and CEOs can privately discuss and debate business issues and best practices. A third of the member companies are among Fortune's 100. Caroline co-founded and was responsible for the CEO Academy and the Chairman Academy, which are sponsored by G100. The CEO Academy is specifically designed for recently appointed CEOs and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and views on how to run a company. The Chairman Academy brings together chairmen and leading board directors to share insights about their demanding new corporate mandate. Caroline is co-author of How to Run a Company (Crown Business, Random House). Earlier, Caroline has worked as a recruiter of senior management talent for Spencer Stuart for six years, mostly in the Europe and the US. She served as a director of the Jackson Laboratory from 2000 to 2003. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Caroline was a consultant with the leading European strategy consulting firm Roland Berger & Partner. Recently, Caroline has spent more than two years working and training intensively with Breck Costin, a well known life coach in Los Angeles. Caroline holds a PhD in molecular biology from Oxford University, UK and a B.A. from Smith College, USA. She is fluent in English, German and French. As the daughter of a diplomat and through her work, she has lived in four continents and eight countries throughout the world. Today, Caroline spends her personal time between a small village in Austria, Berlin, Colorado and Los Angeles.
