On August 23, 2019 at approximately 1040 hours, the undersigned, along
with Special Agent of the Office of the Inspector General,
Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and
Assistant United States Attorneys for the Southern District of New York
anciIIIIIIIIIIIIII did interview Federal Bureau of Prisons
correction guard , date of birth-, at the Southern
District of NY. This interview was conducted in the presence

informed that he has been with the Bureau of Prisons for
approximately three (3) years, all serving at the Metropolitan Correctional
Center and currently as an "escort" officer.
provided information as to how to conduct a proper "count" and
round checks, as well as other duties and assignments of guards.
When asked about the incident involving Epstein, informed that he
recalled a body alarm going off around 0638-0640 hours. took the
elevator and stopped at floor #3 to pick up the lieutenant and food service
staff. then went to the medical unit on floor #2 and proceeded to
escort outside EMS into the facility. Once EMS was on scene and the decision
was made to transport Epstein to the hospital was assigned to follow
the ambulance and remain with Epstein. informed that doctors at the
hospital pronounced Epstein dead at approximately 0736 hours.
notified his superiors and was instructed to remain at the hospital and to
wait for the warden and captain to arrive. Once Epstein's body was released
to the NY Office of the Chief Medical Examiner returned to the MCC
with Epstein's clothing.
informed that he did not have any interactions or discussion with

with Special Agent of the Office of the Inspector General,
Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and
Assistant United States Attorneys for the Southern District of New York
and did interview Federal Bureau of Prisons
correction guard , date of birth at the Southern
District of NY.
informed that he has been with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP)
since 2000 and assigned to the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) since
2001. is currently the "rec" or recreation officer at MCC and has
steady Saturday/Sunday days off and was not working when Epstein initially
arrived at MCC or when Epstein was found hanging in his cell in the SHU on
August 10, 2019.
informed that his last interaction with Epstein was on the August
9, 2019 while doing an escort with office stated that
told Epstein that he would need a new cellmate since Reyes was
released.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, Special Agent (SA)
received a phone call from Bureau of Prisons Special Investigative
Section (SIS) Lieutenant (LT) regarding a letter that was
received by the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC). The letter was a
"return to sender" and the following was written at the top left corner
of the letter:

The letter was postmarked NOVA 220 13 August 2019 and was addressed to
. This address
is that of another Federal Bureau of Prisons facility. The reason for the
"return to sender" was the addressee was "no longer at this address".

FBI New York requests the Laboratory perform a handwriting analysis
comparing the letter received from MCC and the handwriting of Jeffrey
Epstein to conclude if the individual who wrote the letter was Epstein or
another unknown person. Handwriting samples from Jeffrey Epstein's
cell at MCC will be submitted along with the letter in question (in 1A
envelope 1A65).
PERSONS OF INTEREST: Jeffrey Epstein
DEADLINES: October 30, 2020. The trial for this investigation will be
starting in early January 2021 and the evidence that is submitted to the
Laboratory for this examination may be needed for trial.

So, I talked to the case agent who had the original investigation. She has forwarded me a few things that may have been
written by Epstein (attached). The problem is, with all of the things found in that investigation, many things were written
by his assistants and such. So, nothing can really be confirmed as his writing. I looked at what she sent me and it doesn't
look like anything is in cursive like the letter I sent you (which was the problem with the writing from we have from his
cell). Let me know what you think — I totally understand that you may not be able to do anything with these...
