thought you might like this as an idea for your island, as i'm=working on finding works for the sculpture park at
Blenheim, i though= I'd pass
o= a few idea's i thought the Roxy Paine tree, particularly as it looks like=it has been ripped from it's roots
already (you don't need a hurricane) al=o it has a very futuristic earth 2050 feel to it which i thought was very =ou. can't
bare the idea of you living in tile city how ever classic and hi=toric it might be, I away's thought of you as more
apocolyptic. =nbsp;
Roxy Paine
Roxy Paine is one of the most important young sculptors today. His=tree-like mechanical sculptures, the
"Dendroits" series to= with assumptions about nature vs. culture and organic vs. artificial. For Paine, the Dendroids
represent an attempt t= observe trees as a language governed by rules and structures and reflect =is thoughts on human
encroachment on the environment
Ok so you no his works are in most of the greates= museums.... De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art,
Hirshhorn Museum and Scul=ture Garden, Israel Museum, MoMa, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art= and the
Whitney Museum of American Art.
So why not on your Island????
