MCC New York 150 Park Row New York NY 10007 >>> ic4/2020 9:19 AM > » Goal morning I am a Paralegal working on the FOIA litigation filed by the NY Times regarding Epstein records. Thank you so much for all the efforts you have undertaken to locate documents responsive to this litigation. I have a few follow-up questions regarding the most recent set of documents you provided to Nicole. There are several pages of copies of logbooks, do you recall where, or which logbook(s), those pages came from? The PDFs are named for the specific log book. For example, Attorney Conference log book is the sign-in log located on the 3rd floor (Atty Conf); Lobby Attorney log book is the sign-in log located in the lobby (Lobby Atty log); Visual Search log book is the log located in SHU (Visual Search log); Psychology Observation log book is the log book located on the 2nd floor suicide watch area. It was completed by an inmate companion (Epstein Psych Observation 7-8-10- 2019); Psychology Observation log book is the log book located on the 2nd floor suicide watch area. It was completed by an inmate companion (Epstein Psych Observation 7-24-10-2019); Suicide Watch log book is the log book located on the 2nd floor suicide watch area. Inmate companion assumed duties from staff (Epstein SW Chronological log 7-23 & 24-2019); Suicide Watch log book is the log book located on the 2nd floor suicide watch area. Staff was assigned watch duties. (Epstein SW Chronological log 7-23-2019); Intake Screening Phone log is the log book located in R&D and used to document new commits that are provided phone calls (Intake Screening Phone log). Did you make the copies before the original logbooks were turned over to the FBI or were they provided to you? If they were provided to you, do you recall who gave the copies to you? I personally made the photocopies of the originals that were subsequently turned over to the SIS department (Lt. Doctor) who in turned released the documentation to the FBI. Finally, will you describe how you maintain the electronic folder of documents you maintain in response to all the requests for Epstein-related documents you have received? For example, do you have a folder for each request wherein you maintained copies of documents responsive to each individual request, or do you just have one folder where you maintain any Epstein docs you have received and pull whatever document you have that would be responsive to the specific request? I have 1 folder that I created in my personal directory (h: drive) which contains separate scanned documents The reason for all the questions is we have to be able to describe, in what can seem like painstaking detail, how searches were undertaken and the specific results of each search effort Having said that, I appreciate your patience with this process. Thanks again, Kara EFTA00060278 Office of General Counsel FOIA/Privacy Act Section EFTA00060279
