EFTA00172484 Nook! tgartillin 0kunalltssriubli2 Nortlt rgaroliim guar *aft Its'sWhir tilrisli,,k10 2? 60 July 29, 2025 The Honorable Pam Bondi Attorney General of the United States U.S. Department of Justice Washington, D.C. 20530 The Honorable Members of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation United States Congress Washington, D.C. To Attorney General Bondi and Members of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation: We write to you as members of the North Carolina Senate in support of the bipartisan subpoena of the Department of Justice for flies related to Jeffrey Epstein. The subpoena calls for the Epstein files in the Justice Department's possession to be provided to Congress, but the names of the victims to be redacted. This includes, most urgently, the names of those who participated in, facilitated, or helped conceal the abuse, trafficking, and exploitation of minors. North Carolina has taken a leading role in the fight against human trafficking. In recent years, our state has passed bipartisan legislation to crack down on child predators, increase penatties for traffickers, support survivors, and promote transparency in the justice system. We are proud of that record, and we believe this moment calls for that same clarity, unity, and resolve. The Epstein case is one of the most disturbing examples of organized exploitation in modern history. Survivors, many of them minors, were victimized over years, and across multiple jurisdictions. The failure to fully expose and prosecute those responsible represents a deep injustice, and one that continues to erode public trust in our institutions. The U.S. Department of Justice has confirmed what many Americans have long feared: that prominent names are among the sealed records related to Epstein's crimes. If we are to restore confidence in the rule of law and dispel rampant conspiracy theories surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, those records must be released fully and without delay, provided they do not compromise the identity or safety of the victims. EFTA00172485 This is an urgent matter of public safety, justice, and transparency. No one should be above the law, and no survivor should be left wondering if the person who harmed them will ever be held accountable. We urge the Department of Justice to take immediate steps to unseal and release all relevant files pertaining to known perpetrators and co-conspirators in the Epstein case. We call on our state's congressional delegation to actively support this effort, and to ensure that the interests of justice and public trust are upheld.
