Greetings Sir,
Below is a summary of the Naturalization process:
I. The Application for Naturalization (Form N-400) must be completed in its entirety - I have both the
Application and the Instructions for filling it out.
2. The Application, along with the filing fee of $725.00 (payable via personal check, money order, cashier's
check or credit card to Department of Homeland Security) can be mailed via USPS or FedEx to the US
Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Texas.
3. A confirmed address is needed on the application - we will use the 6100 Red Hook Quarter B3, St. Thomas,
VI 00802-1348 address.
4. We will receive in the mail to the confirmed address Letter #1: A Receipt Number confirming USCIS has
received the application and uploaded it into their system.
5. The next receipt from USCIS will be Letter #2: The Biometric Appointment the system generates to come in
to the Nisky office for fingerprinting.
6. The final correspondence will be Letter #3: The Interview Notice with the date for the interview and test.
The Application Package I received today includes the Study booklet Learn About the United States: Quick
Civics Lesson for the Naturalization Test (and a one page Test Answer Updates - who the current Governor,
Delegate and President are, e.g.)
The entire process, from the day the application is received to the letter scheduling the appointment for the
interview and test can take between 6 to 9 months.
Shall I make copies of the application and send the package over for your review?
Respectfully,
Daphne
