Karen, Kyle and myself arrived just after 12:30 and introduced =urselves. The DPNR people asked about permits for the work going on at the beach =nd if there was any other work under way elsewhere on the island. They then told us that they did not need any written orders to both =nstruct us to cease and desist any and all construction or to allow =hem to access any portion of the island they chose to go to. At that point they started walking west down the beach and stopped at =he equipment parking area at the far west end of the beach and took =ictures of the area and likely the excavated hole for the new septic =reatment plant and the tanks sitting next to the hole. Then they headed along the road leading to the dump/dumpster area and =ook photos of the newly excavated trash pit and the freshly scrapped =rea with the boat trailers and water wagons parked there. At that point they walked down to the Christmas Cove barge ramp area and =ook photos of that area. After walking back up to the dump area they chose to walk up the road =hat climbs the hill behind the old ruins building and leads to the Q =ut and staff cottage. I did not follow them at that point as Kyle and Karen were ahead of them =n a cart. I walked back to the beach until they got back down there. As they were walking back to the tiki from the east end of the beach =hey took notice of the intake pump housing for the desal unit and also =he freshly laid sand over the area that had previously been grass. Karen asked to see the lead person's ID and was asked to show =ers also. As they were getting back onto their boat one of the officers boarded =he Zodiac and took pictures of the registration sticker.
