There are 3 places left for the upcoming How To Make a Film in a
Weekend (28th--29th September) Last weekend's course was a great
success, so do book now if you'd like to attend. And we have limited
availability for How To Read James Joyce - also taking place this
weekend.
Next week on Monday 3oth we have a fascinating early evening event

focused on Understanding Iran; on Saturday 5th a Midnight Film
Masterclass with inspirational lecturer Colin MacCabe -- actually it
starts at iipm -- and on 5th and 6th a weekend devoted to How To
Philosophize (without a hammer) in which Professor Ken Gemes will
now be making a guest appearance to talk about Wittgenstein and
Freud.
There are a number of exciting new events in November for which
booking is now open: on 7th November a Ballet Masterclass at the
Royal Opera House taught by legendary prima ballerina Monica
Mason. And on gth--loth November a weekend devoted to Opera, led
by Rupert Christiansen.
Looking further ahead as part of our collaboration with The Telegraph,
in January 2014 we have a whole weekend devoted to reading Marcel
Proust and in March a unique all-day seminar on How to Read
Samuel Beckett; in between we'll be offering one-day and weekend
seminars on Dante, Dickens, Dostoevsky and other pillars of the
western canon.
