Dear Mr. Tollison,
Thank you for asking to do the estimate for re-finishing the Front Doors.
1. Stripping existing finish, neutralizing the stripper after the finish is
removed.
2. Light sanding and steelwooling the surface.
3. Washing the surface with Denatured Alcohol to complete neutralizing
and making sure there is no wax on the surface.
4. Sealing the surface with the sealer.
5. Applying 5-6 coats of varnish of your choice, sanding lightly between
the coats.

Scope of Work: 1.Refinishing of large entrance door (stripping, sanding, staining, 2-3
coats of wood sealer and 3 coats of top wood finish (outdoor heavy duty marine varnish)
and 2. Inner face REFURBISHING job: Touching up and polishing by waxing or oil

Estimate for the Restoration of:
Straight top entrance doors with a arched transom
This is to confirm that at your request, We have personally examined the entrance doors at the
above address, for purpose of restoration/maintainance.
Condition of exterior doors:
The surface is rough and dried out.
The finish in some areas is very weathered causeing discoloration and flaking. A pigmented varnish
was used obscuring the grain, natural color and varitions of the oak. The interior surface is the
natural color. Scratches are also visible.
We propose to provide the entrance with the following scope of work in order to recondition the
finish.
I. Lightly clean the surface free of any dirt, dust and other pollutants.
2. Sand rough areas.
3. Touch-up the discolored areas.
4. Reconditioning the surface with buffing and polishing the existing finish to a satin sheen
5. Apply a coat of clear varnish to the isolated areas where there is severe finish loss.
6. Then buff the surface to create a satin sheen throughout.
7. The interior surface would be topically cleaned, buffed and polished to a satin sheen.
Estimated time frame is 5 - 7 days.
Cost of the restoration is $16,525.00 Plus Tax
Payment and Terms - Client will pay to Marco's Art of Restoration an initial nonrefundable payment of
50% down and the additional 50% upon completion of the restoration service.
