As Controller my department had responsibility for the back office accounting for 12 hedge funds (emerging markets, listed and private equity) as well as internal accounting for the company. As COO I oversaw the daily operations of the entire business and served as EDC compliance officer. Most departmental managers reported directly to me. In addition to the Controller and COO functions, I also handled the personal accounting of the company's President and performed a range of accounting functions for his foundation. As Controller my department was responsible for human resources, accounting and financial statement preparation for the Resort (hotel, marina and all restaurants) and the Condo Owners Association.
