The seal liner internal on #3 engine on Boeing needs repair: do you agree with option #1 for repair? will have to
remove #3 engine and ship to Oscoda. Michigan, repair facility,.
Option 1: Oscoda repair facility recommends 'Mini Hot Section" to repair seal displacement. This will
minimize collateral findings by not going deeper in the engine. 2 weeks turn time, appx 75K with no
unusual findings. Test cell is included in pricing (my recommendation).
Option 2: Comply with High Pressure Compressor AD (corrosion inspection due in 2014) during shop visit appx
257K with only normal findings (more potential exposure). (your choice if you want).
is it approved to fully start on C2C check at this time? partial interior removal etc..
please advise?
