Rich and I have been thinking of options for 6727 sale. I need to move the aircraft out of Palm Beach by July 12th due to
upcoming Maintenance as well as, Atlantic Aviation PBI has raised my parking from $3000 per Month to $5000 starting
July 1st. which is prorated at a daily rate. July 12th is the drop dead date the aircraft can fly, Mandatory AD's and C
check are due July 12th, according to Morrison.
update from Gary this morning:
-We have a man named Calum Melville interested out if Dubai. (Google research informs Mr Melville at one time
was Scotland's richest person, but has bad media, and was in bankruptcy, He is discussing the quotes with
Stanbaugh Aviation and FJTurbines.
-We also have an offer of $600k to buy the two -219's only.
-We have an interest from a charter company in Delaware but only if the certificate is included. They are the top
three and they all know decisions must be made this week.
Thursday I received my letter from the FAA stating I can operate #3 engine 5 cycles since Pratt & Whitney engines with
Mark Williams assistance granted 5 cycle ops. I'm working a parking rate in Brunswick GA, at Manning Aviation FBO
where Stambaugh Aviation our Maintenance company bases. I'm trying for $2,500 per month B727 Parking in Brunswick
to include bi-Weekly engine runs using Stambaugh Aviation Mechanics for 60 days. this would allow Gary another 60
days of marking the sale of the Boeing, at least the aircraft would be in position for a buyer to start inspections and
remove the #3 engine for repairs etc.. or if we need to fly the aircraft to the desert for retirement, I can obtain Ferry
Permit much easier with Stambaugh to complete airworthy inspection required for Ferry flights later in the year if needed
since the aircraft will be out of date inspection wise.
Option 1
I'd like to fly Boeing to Brunswick for parking position and low monthly cost parking. Gary continues to market aircraft for
additional 60 days, at which point you could lower the ask price when you deem necessary.
Option 2
get aircraft appraisal with hopes of $2M to $3M appraisal for tax deduction, Then donate to an Aviation School or
Museum of your choice?
Option 3
combination of option 1 and 2, fly aircraft to Brunswick for Parking and continued marketing, get appraisal for Rich to
work best scenario for tax brake and locate the best retirement location for the 8727.
do you approve of moving the 6727 to Brunswick for parking?
thank you,
Larry
