My old firm doesn't have any offices here, but one of my friends there has used Stephanie Alvarez at Feldman Gale as local counsel in a patent suit and he thought she was very very good. They only do intellectual property work, though, and I'm not sure whether your father-in-law is handling a simple contract dispute or if there is an issue relating to misuse of a license, etc. When I was asking about him about the Epstein matter Bert Ocariz told me that he charges $450 an hour, which is about average for one of the big firms in town, but yipes!
