SG BLOCKS SG BLOCKS Overview SG Blocks LLC ("SGB" or the "Company") provides sustainable building systems through the conversion of used code-engineered cargo shipping containers into Safe Green Building Blocks ("SG Block(s)") used in all types of building construction. The Company, with its strategic partners, redesigns, reengineers and repurposes SG Blocks for commercial, industrial and residential building construction. The Company provides the building construction industry alternative structures which are greener, safer, faster, stronger, longer lasting and consistently less expensive than conventional/ traditional options. To enhance product and service offerings, SGB has formed a number of strategic alliances and affiliations including ConGlobal Industries, the largest container depot operator in the US, and Triton International Container, a full-service global leasing company that operates one of the largest marine intermodal cargo container fleets in the world. Both are suppliers, ConGlobal owns modification facilities and Triton manages vendor relationships that work with SGB to perform required modifications. SGB also has a strategic alliance with The Lawrence Group, a nationally recognized architectural, interior design and planning firm. Additionally, SGB is affiliated with the premier NYC based Construction Management firm, Plaza Construction, who did in excess of $1 billion last year. EFTA00729761 SG BLOCKS Page 2 SG Blocks typically exceed building code requirements and demonstrate superior structural integrity in multiple/stacked configurations as they capitalize on the demanding structural engineering and design parameters established for shipping containers. Containers are exposed to and must endure hostile weather and dynamic forces aboard a ship, in overland trucking and on rail transport. They also must remain stable while being stacked on ship decks in high seas. Contributing to LEED Certification, the conversion of a container into an SG Block takes 1/20th the amount of energy required to reprocess a comparable weight of steel and allows for local sourcing in most cases. SGB's ability to connect, stack and provide for mobile assembly and disassembly differentiates SGB from the competition. Additionally, SGB has completed proprietary and code- approved testing that is especially valuable at the municipal planning level. Capitalizing on the fundamental building block concept, the core construction employs standard unit replication, which simplifies creation of the SG Block and shortens construction time. Because the Block is one of a limited number of standard transportation sizes, it can be delivered to most sites rapidly and easily. Once on site, a typical customers' construction time is reduced by up to 40% over other common construction methods, translating into reduced interest carry for the builder as well. The Blocks can be configured to meet a myriad of architectural designs and can grow vertically with the homeowner or its occupants over time. Efficient layouts can accommodate for expandable units while the structural superiority stands up to the harshest of environments. SG Blocks framing offers tighter envelopes and more resistive materials than those used in conventional construction, reducing energy consumption as well. SGB's senior management team has had many years of experience in the delivery of business products and services related to international construction projects. SG Blocks' CEO Paul Galvin has twenty years of experience developing real estate including residential condominiums, luxury sales, market rate and affordable rental projects. David Cross, an ex-Merchant Marine Deck Officer and SGB's Business Development Manager has been involved in the conversion of approximately 3,000 containers. Stevan Armstrong P. E., retired Assistant Chief of Staff of Operations for the Atlantic Seabees and the Company's President and COO, brings extensive design, construction experience, and engineering expertise to SG Blocks. Director of Logistics, James Southard, comes to SG Blocks following a 30 year career with AP Moller-Maersk, one of the world's largest shipping companies. Senior Project Manager, Gary Tave, had a 20+ year career as an officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps where he served as a project engineer managing dozens of construction projects in Europe as well as South, Central and Latin Americas. EFTA00729763 SG BLOCKS Page 4 The SG Blocks system creates durable, rugged steel framed buildings that will outlast its conventional peers. They are less susceptible to moisture damage and provide full compliance with design codes related to the dynamic forces of wind. Inherent logistical control and expansive geographic coverage both support rapid and efficient deployment while multiple modes of transportation enhance deployment options. Stronger, safer and greener than any alternatives on the market, the comprehensive SG Blocks approach provides a durable, stackable, expandable and economical solution to meet and exceed all the needs of today's residential and commercial building markets.
