Lastly as discussed on Monday, the Owner is asking for a proposal outlining how you plan to fix the surface irregularities. Please explain why this cannot be addressed at this time? regards Brice On Thu, Oct 18, 2018 at 6:49 PM Gilbert Luna < > wrote: Good afternoon Brice, I apologize for being so late in responding, it's been a busy day. The asphalt plant will be running again on Monday and we plan to pave out the Main Street areas on that day. We ran into a problem with buried cobble stones in the main access road to NM 41. Attached is a proposal to place a 3" thick layer of base course over the road bed so it can be graded properly. We want to start hauling in base course in the morning so the trucks won't be in the way of the asphalt delivery trucks on Monday. The unit price is the same as we what we quoted for the 3" base course going to the main house. The weather forecast shows improvement for next week and we will continue grading and paving the main access road for a projected end of week completion. Some time around Halloween should be a good time for your owner to review and drive the project. At this point, we want to finish all the paving before addressing your concerns about the ride on the upper road. Yes, an overlay can correct surface irregularities and remember you are the one that proposed it. Complete removal and replacement is out of the question. I will visit with you again at the end of next week. I do have some concerns regarding the discussed solution of overlaying the road surface. Will Overlaying the road surface resolve the surface irregularities, or is it a more prudent solution to completely remove and redo existing surface. Lastly when do you think you will complete paving work, as the owner would like to review. Please advise Regards Brice EFTA01019177 Sent from my iPad Gilbert A.
