Dear Friends & Family, I am writing to ask for your support for a fundraiser that I am co-chairing along with my Mother & our close family friend, Dr. Gabriella Nunci. If you are not aware, in 2010 Gabriella conceived The Yonkofa Project which is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. The Yonkofa (meaning "friendship" in the local Ghana language - Twi) Project completed Building 1 of the first clinic earlier this year which will house medical staff. The next goal is to raise funds for Building 2 as the clinic itself & to also build a well to provide clean water to the village. Volunteers are being fined up to establish a monthly rotation of physicians from the United States and sponsors have provided the salary for two Ghanaian nurses. This sustainable community clinic model will serve as the blueprint for future clinics built and managed by The Yonkofa Project.
