As you may have heard, the University terminated the Origins Program this year, and I will be retiring from ASU at the end of this academic year, when I turn 65. I hope to carry on the mission of Origins as I move beyond ASU, and ASU has kindly agreed that those donors who wish to may request the ASU Foundation to transfer their unexpended funds to other Projects. I am in the process of creating a new non-profit foundation, called the New Origins Project, which will hopefully run exciting new programs in Phoenix, and elsewhere, as well as explore new media partnerships in order to reach an even broader cross-section of the public than the Origins Project did at ASU. I am hoping that you might be willing to help continue the Origins mission by requesting that the ASU Foundation transfer your unexpended funds to our new program. I will be contacting you in the coming weeks with more information on the specifics of the new non-profit, and will also provide you with contact information for the Foundation to request a funds transfer. Of course, you are free to leave your donation in the ASU Foundation, where it will undoubtedly be used to support other useful programs at the University. Thanks for considering this.
